Join us as we welcome Chava McKeel for a Spring meeting to discuss Government Affair issues at both the State and National level.
Chava McKeel - GCSAA Director of Government Affairs will headline our meeting. In this role, she leads federal advocacy efforts on behalf of golf course superintendents, focusing on environmental regulation, labor, water use, and sustainability issues impacting the golf industry. Chava works closely with policymakers, allied organizations, and GCSAA members to advance practical, science-based policies and to elevate the voice of the golf course management profession at the national level.

GCSAA Government Affairs Update: Endangered Species Act compliance, chemical registration review and other hot issues:
GCSAA is the leader in advocacy in the golf industry. During this informative session, you will be provided an update on the work of the GCSAA Government Affairs team as they focus on water, pesticide, labor and power equipment issues at all levels of government. The presentation will provide an update on the U.S. EPA’s attempt to come into compliance with its Endangered Species Act obligations and how that impacts golf course management. You will also learn about ways to stay on top of government issues impacting your golf facility as well as hear about case studies in successful advocacy engagement.

10:30am - 11:30am: Scott Lawson - The Lawson Group
Scott will be doing a safety talk focused on general workplace safety, and establishing and implementing safety programs for golf courses.
11:30am -12:30pm: Round Table Discussion
12:30pm: Lunch - Cash bar will be available
